Only One Night...

...but it was a lovely clean site with excellent facilities and a friendly welcome. Such a convenient for our trip south. We will use Chapel Lane again to explore the local area.

Nice site with easy access to Birmingham and surrounding areas

Just spent Easter at Chapel Lane, really nice clean site with new 2nd toilet block. Really friendly Wardens clean site, great access for Birmingham and the surrounding areas. A little bit of road noise which quietens down in the evening.

Short but sweet!

We booked a two night stay at this sight, which is not too far from home, as a post storage check up break, just to ensure everything is working before we begin our 2016 season. Love the location of the site, close to the A435 but so quiet, the office and facilities bright and clean. Unfortunately due to illness we were only able to stay the one night and asked if we could leave the caravan on our pitch until the other half felt well enough to return to collect. There was no problem, immediately the site staff asked if they could be of further assistance and, in fact, they helped take the awning pegs out for me so I could take it down by myself. We will be going back for a "proper" stay at some point.

Overnight Stop

We use this site as a stop off when we travel to Devon. Perfect for a rest stop but can't really comment about places to see. Plenty of room, clean and friendly. We'll use it again.

Good access to Birmingham

For anyone visiting the NEC or NIA, this is a well positioned site, with easy access from the motorways. The site is quite open and has a countryside feel. Tthe hardstandings are of a good size to fit most motorhomes and caravans. We arrived somewhat early and had to wait until 12 noon to be allowed access, but it is not always easy to judge distance and traffic exactly. However, the wardens are friendly and helpful and seem to work well as a team. Our only complaint was that our few days were spoiled by irresponsible dog owners, who allowed their pets to bark at everything that moved! Now, realising that Crufts was on that weekend, it would be a time to ignore for any future visits. It is a shame that a few people are selfish in their responsibility to the enjoyment of others. Also a word of warning about parking under the trees! Our clean van was extremely dirty when we left, from the hundreds of pigeons who lived in the trees on site (much as we love birds).

Is the office open or not ?

We very recently spent 4 nights at this site, generally very nice, after reporting back to the office on which pitch we had chosen we were given our entry and exit card and asked if we wished to order a newspaper, we did and the following morning went to the office at 10.30am to collect it only to find a notice saying office closed from 10am to 12noon for site cleaning, there was also a notice saying that the office was open from 9am till 5.30pm, so we went out for the day and collected our paper late afternoon. thinking that this was a situation where one of the sets of wardens were on there day off I went to collect the next days paper again at 10.30am and was very annoyed and disappointed that the office was closed again with the same notice in the window. perhaps a comment when ordering a paper on when it would be available would be very useful.

Good Site except TV

I use this site every year for Crufts and find it an excellent site for that purpose. The wardens are pleasant and always helpful, it is nice to pitch on  a tarmac pitch when you don't have an awning, the shower blocks are always clean. in the past I have plugged my aerial into a post and got all the channels I have needed, this year for some reason and I tried two post I could only get a few channels which was a bit disappointing. Having said that I still enjoyed my stay.

Nice Spring weekend in Midlands

Enjoyed a very nice weekend at Chapel Lane CC site - lots of Crufts entrants staying on site which was interesting. Site was busy Friday & Saturday nights but quietened down Sunday. Despite this never felt crowded & generally was very relaxing. Road noise from the busy M42 junction area can be heard but really its nothing to worry about. Great easy access from M42, clean tidy well looked after Toilet block, spacious grounds, big pitches so easy to get the van onto & loads of hardstanding which was great as it had been wet the week beforehand. Wardens friendly & helpful. Small but decent little dog walk. One of the most "user friendly" CC sites I have been on. Well done & keep up the good work.

Friendly and helpful staff

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially as I arrived at 7 minutes to 8 in the evening, just before cut off time. I had prebooked and I was expected and although the office was shut, the lady who opened up for me was extremely helpful and friendly.  One problem was although given a map of the site, I struggled to find my pitch, not really knowing the lay out.I had the same problem when I returned late the following night. Slight traffic noise but nothing that disturbed me. I only used the site for sleeping in, as was volunteering at the Open Badminton Championships at the NIA , but when I saw it in the daylight was extremely clean and the showers and toilets were superb, warm and clean. Very helpful when I wanted to book an extra night, and also when my gas bottle ran out, the new one was installed with no fuss. Thank you

first visit

Friendly team on arrival.  Good clean pitches.  Wash rooms very clean and warm.  We had slight road traffic noise but can't complain, you can avoid this if you look on site map. Would visit again as site very well maintained and staff very friendly.
