New pitches

This is a regular site for us as it is convenient for visiting friends and family. I have left previous reviews and echo the regular comments about the great location, clean, friendly, quiet, country feel etc. All as good as ever. Just wanted to say that the new, full service pitches are great and a very good investment. The height seems to have been raised so that one of the areas is no longer so prone to puddles. The grass is recovering well and it all looks very good. Well done CC. We found the Kitchen Garden Cafe, York Road, King's Heath (about 5 miles on A435). Open in the day for good, freshly prepared food and an amazing schedule of music events in the evenings. Located with a great little garden and plant shop. Tricky parking but worth the effort for great food and live music.

Chapel Lane April 2016

Been here several time before but just love the location. Still quiet, still clean still a great place to visit. Visited the coach & horses for evening meal. Just down the road in Alvechurch ( And noted in the folder in the info hut ). A great place for food and real ales. Also had a day out on the Severn valley railway, A real step back in time. Fabulous time there. Will be back sometime soon.

One week trip to Chapel Lane

The site is as most visitors have said convenient for the motorway and very clean shower blocks. Visited the farm shop next door which was good but disappointed with the restaurant, as fish and chips were very poor quality for £11:50 fish was not cod and very small. Will not visit the restaurant again but did get discount with caravan club card.  National Trust properties to visit Packwood House and Baddlesley Clinton, as both properties within two miles of each other. Need to find some nice places to eat in the area.

Haven on the edge of a busy city

This site was a second choice as the one we wanted was full. However very glad we stayed here. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the facilities were very clean and warm. Good location, not far from the motorway, and not too far from public transport links, which made it relatively easy to visit places of interest in the vicinity.  Would recommend a visit to the local farm shop/ restaurant. Amazing breakfasts served. Pity it isn't open in the evenings.

Short stay

We use this site on a regular basis to have easy access to the QE Hospital Birmingham (just a 15-20 minute drive away). Usually we stay for a few days to explore the area. The staff are always friendly and very helpful, the facilities are clean and warm, the serviced pitches are a very welcome addition. Beckett's farm shop is an easy walk away and well worth a visit - we've  had hot bacon and sausage rolls for breakfast, or very tasty lunches. there are some pleasant walks at the RSPB site at Sandwell Valley a short drive away.

Fantastic Location

As another reviewer said - this site is a rural gem. We stayed over the Easter weekend and although the weather was not great we had a lovely stay. The location is great for visiting many attractions and the local country parks were perfect for dog walking. The Farm shop within walking distance is a must for food lovers! The wardens were very friendly and helpful, especially when we totally had a 'senior moment' and did not site our caravan as per the Club rules. The warden came and checked our distances from the 'neighbours' and explained why they have the rules and although we didn't have to move the van he offered to help should we want to. Shower blocks were warm and clean. All in all a great place and we will definitely return.

Short stay...

of 3 nights just before Easter to allow us easy access to Birmingham centre. Bus from outside site entrance is very convenient, but on Sundays is very infrequent, however, a taxi supplied by A2B was only about £11 each way that day. Very pleasant, helpful & friendly Wardens. I'd suggest booking a pitch with awning, if available, as the alternative hard standing areas are a little like a car park.
