Fab week dodging the rain!

Our first visit to Castleton & we were not disappointed! Friendly reception from the wardens on arrival, we had booked a serviced pitch which was slightly separated from the main site but still in a good location. It certainly rained whilst we were there but we had no issues with flooding on the pitch or around the site. We managed to visit/walk Win Hill & Ladybower, Lose Hill, Hollins Cross & Mam Tor, Cheedale & The Monsal Trail, Crowden Tower, Kinder Low & Jacob’s Ladder, National Trust at Longshaw & finally Treak Cliff Cave. There are several pubs in Castleton which are in walking distance from the site. Two food vans visited the site whilst we were there, the wood fire Pizza was a hit with ourselves! We will certainly return 😊
