Just spent a gorgeous few days at this site. Polite, friendly and professional staff. Facilities excellent and the site overall, is very well tended. Everything appeared to be in mint condition. Ready access to Carsington Water Reservoir. A breathtaking walk around the reservoir of about 8.5 miles. A cycle route is also avaiable alongside. Visitor centre en route provides excellent opportunities for refreshment and craft shops etc with delightful views across the reservoir. The camp site is also within easy striking distance of Kedlestone Hall; the ancestral home of the Curzon family. Extending back to William the Conqueror, the Hall is rich in their family history. The outside features magnificent gardens and offers a variety of different lenghth walks with superb views of the hall. Carsington Water camp site has a lot to offer.
