Just back from a great weekend at the Crown. Huge, flat hard standing pitch (pitch 5), all with drinking water and electric. Grey waste and chemical disposal not far at the entrance to the CL. As others have said, the shower room is accessed through the side of the beer garden but it didn't bother us. It was modern and clean throughout our stay. Great walking options along old railway line to Middleton or Romaldkirk. Lovely warm welcome in the Crown, limited opening hours, but lovely food. Blacksmiths Arms does a great pint and pizza, warm welcome, and a sunny beer garden. Also check out Middleton Farmers market one once a month, great producers and also Middleton chippy. It suited us to have all the info emailed so no 'checkin' required. Loved being able to pick the pitches when booking. Was worried after the last review but we will be back
