We'll be back

Lovely, very well maintained, quiet site. Good to have water and waste taken care of on pitch, a real holiday! Keith and Alison made us feel welcome and were very helpful. Plenty to see in the area. Make sure you follow the directions given, as roads through the village would not be good for caravans. We will definitely use this site again.

fantastic bank holiday break

We had a fantastic break at Keal Lodge. The most peaceful, quiet and tranquil site with attentive and friendly owners, nothing was too much trouble. A lovely 10 minute takes you to the River and local public house with great food. Attention to detail is first class in all areas, lovely site with lots of greenery and immaculately kept areas. See you again soon, Tony & Louise Watson

just arrived back from a 4 night break, wish it could have been longer as we didn't want to leave this beautiful well kept site. On arrival we were met by Alison the owner who gave us a very friendly welcome and local knowledge of the surrounding area and also an information pack which told us everything we needed to know during our stay. keith was also very friendly and always found time for a chat even though he was always busy keeping everywhere spotless. All pitches are serviced, lovely views, peace and quite. All in all could not fault this hidden gem can't wait to go back

First time in this area

The lay out of this CL part of this site is good, but sadly the way that you are positioned prevents you from seeing anybody unless they happen to walk pass. This can make you feel somewhat isolated, though some people may like this. The supplying of all the equipment for you to use your full service pitch is a nice thought and works well. The annoying part is having to purchase electric top up cards to enable you to have electrical supply to your van. For the average van needs I would say that you can expect to use anything between £2.50-£4.50 a day. In some cases it was mentioned that some members paid up to £7 a day. This I would think is because they were using an electrical awning heater. But still, this is an added expense to go on top of your £16 a night site fee. If you wanted internet connection then this is also an extra. The site is beautifully kept, but for the price you are paying I would expect a toilet or shower to be included. CL site of the year it may have been but a few neatly trimmed bushes and cut grass does not justify the price.  A lovely site for a long weekend but for a week or more I would think twice.

Definitely the best!

This is our favourite CL and we visit regularly. However, having just returned from a tour of the midlands we realise again just how wonderful it is. Keith and Alison always do their utmost to make our stay thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing. The site is always immaculate and brilliantly laid out, the very careful planting gives each pitch a high degree of privacy. This should be the blueprint for all CLs!

What a gem

Arrived at the site , warm welcome from the owners and given a brilliant pack of information of our surroundings , So first important thing to us were dog walks and dog friendly watering holes ,which we discovered 2 local pubs dog friendly within 10 minutes walk away . A lovely river side walk to Market Deeping which our dog loved too . Stamford is well worth a visit and to our surprise the shops there were dog friendly . Will definitely visit again i can  only agree this is definitely worth the title of CL of the year .

Another great stay at KL

Keal Lodge (KL) once again provided the perfect relaxing holiday environment we were seeking from the hustle and bustle of working life. As per our visit last year, it was easy access to the site (do follow KL’s instructions), the pitches are level and well presented, easy access to water, drainage and EHU - if required. In conjunction with a large safe area to exercise your dog(s) off the leash. Keith and Allison continue the balance of being caring hosts, without being over intrusive – coupled with the verbose information pack you will have all you need to enjoy KL and the surrounding area(s). We’re so impressed we will be booking again in 2017.

A fabulous weekend – must stay again and longer!!

Keal Lodge sets a high bar for Caravan Club CL’s. With an impressive history of well-earned awards Keal Lodge sets a very high bar that many other CL owners could take steer from. An informative web site sets the scene and access is an easy tow / drive for all – providing you follow the directions. We are a 9m TAG Motorhome and it was no problem. Great pitches, services and the two-acre dog walk helps for a relaxing stay. A verbose welcome information pack ensures you are highlighted to the local amenities; from great walks to easy reach Indian restaurants, etc. Peace and quiet is the order of the day, which was only broken by bird-song and the natural surrounding beauty. We could continue to say great things; however, the would we return typically says it all. A big yes and most definitely for longer. Keith and Allison, many thanks for your hospitality and we hope to see you again soon. Tanya and Mick.

absolutely fantastic

What a fantastic little site. Lovely welcome from the the relief wardens, who helped us set up and told us about the local area, places to eat, visit etc. The site is immaculate, very well laid out with shrubs giving privacy without feeling cramped. The pitches are all serviced and spacious.  Very peaceful and within easy walking distance of shops, pubs, places to eat etc.  The information pack that we were given on arrival was excellent, containing all the info you need and more, as was the information room with leaflets, bus times, places to go etc. The electricity was by meter, which was no problem, we used about £4 for our 4 day visit. We absolutely loved this site and are definitely going back - complete relaxation. We are two very happy campers :)
