Perfect location

We stayed here for 5 nights so we could meet up on a couple of days with our daughter and her boyfriend after months of separation due to the pandemic. The position of the site is just off a main road - but the traffic is minimal during the day - and practically non-existent at night. We pitched on the flat and Mrs Vicary very kindly offered us the use of an extension lead so we could utilise the ehu. The grass could have perhaps done with a cut - we noticed the grass had been cut from the fence line on the run up to the entry gate - but not expanded further out into the field - which was a shame really as the ground was pretty "lumpy" - other than that we could not fault the site. We tend to leave our motorhome in situ when we visit and cycle everywhere. Fortunately most of the attractions we visited were within cycling distance (Chartwell, Hever, Emmett's Garden) and the power assist bikes came into their own - especially with the amount of hills in the area! We also walked a loop to Four Elms and back, following the designated footpath signs. The walk was absolutely lovely. I would highly recommend this friendly, welcoming site if visiting this part of Kent. The countryside is stunning - and at this time of year (April) the bluebells are prolific and a joy to see.
