A Nice CL

It has all been said by previous members' I thought it was worth endorsing this site as it is ideal for visiting the local area and beaches or for an overnight stop enroute North/South. We definitely intend to visit it again.

Great location

Recently stayed for 4 nights, perfect weather which really enhanced our stay. Owner was very helpful. The site is easy to find and it is very quiet.  It is approximately a twenty minute walk into Alnwick which is lovely. Good local walks and within easy reach if the coast and castles. We would  definitely recommend staying here.

FABULOUS!

Our ideal CL - quiet, lovely views, clean, well kept and with the added benefit of electricity and hard standings. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and access to the pitches (we have a double-axle) is perfectly easy for anyone half capable of towing a caravan.   We can't fault the place which is SO well placed for visiting the wonders of Northumberland, both coastal and inland. Alnwick with all its facilities is just minutes away as is the A1 for easy access further afield but in the tranquility of this lovely site you would not know it - they could be a million miles away. This will most definitely be our stop for when we next visit this lovely part of England. (The farmhouse is also a B&B which the farmer showed us.  It was absolutely lovely and spotlessly clean.  Ideal if you have non-caravanning visitors). J&J Hampshire 24th Sept 2014

Jewel in the crown

Easy to find, a very warm and friendly welcome upon arrival and no problems with access with a twin axle van. All hard standing pitches, a peaceful and quiet site with lots of walks nearby. Good location for visiting the coast or surrounding areas. We enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again in the future. We will book early as it seems to be a popular site.

What is Peterb13 on about?

This site is one of the nicest cl's in Northumberland. So easy to find & use. Very near to all of Northumberland's fantastic attractions including the Farnes & Holy Island. Owners very welcoming & helpful. In fact we have booked again in October.

Quite a gem

Easy to find, a very warm welcome and no problems with access to the roomy hardstandings. Given its location it is surprisingly peaceful and quiet. Easy walking to a supermarket and pub, and a little bit further into Alnwick which has a good selection of eating places. Great base for exploring the Northumberland Coast.

Brilliant

We spent 7 nights here. A quiet, level site easily accessible from the A1. Pleasant surroundings and friendly owners. Many places of interest to visit in and around Alnwick including the Aln Valley Railway - Northumberland's new heritage railway linking Alnmouth with Alnwick. Great for Railway enthusiasts. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again in the future.

Very disappointed

We arrived at the site to find it looked smaller than the 1 acre. The entrance to the site was very tight. The only pitch available to us was up in the corner by the wood which would have been very dark and gloomy and difficult to manoeuvre our caravan into place. We decided not to stay but it took ages for us to leave the site due to the very tight entrance, beware big outfits. Overall we were very disappointed in this site and would not recommend.

Excellent place to stay

Extremely convenient location very close to the A1, just half a mile from Sainsbury's, but in a really beautiful,  peaceful,  rural location,  with lovely views,  right beside a magical ancient forest. Level hard standing pitches, welcoming enthusiastic owners and all the facilities one could need. Perfect for visiting Alnwick Castle and Gardens.  Highly recommended.

perfect weekend

First time at this site but will not be the last. The location is perfect for access to Alnwick as it is a short walk to the gardens and castle.  The owners make you very welcome and the site is set in very nice and quiet place.  Never heard any noise from the A1 which is close by. Perfect spot for our long weekend.
