My bus pass only works in Scotland, despite what many bus drivers in England think! When out and about on my travels outside Scotland I prefer to use the bus as you get to see much more of the countryside. When I had a caravan I left my car on site and used buses. Would that all club sites had useable bus services.

Posted on 29/03/2017 11:39 by MethevenLove the bus pass, fairly new to me but why the rush to go by car unless timing is an importance!
We have a service every 20 minutes from our village into Hull, I love the top deck and having a good nosey enroute, also take a trip into town for no other reason than a few hours of leisure. Only slightly limiting factor is it can't be used before 9.30am, but again I'm only just coming around from getting out of bed by then, drifting along slowly is now my aim.
As yet I have not tried using it as a reduction in any other forms but will bear it in mind.

What's a bus?
We have no public bus route to our village and the nearest is a £4 return ferry ride away. So that's £8 for us both but the car ferry costs us £4.60.
Like others I will have to wait and whilst my wife could get a pass its pretty much useless for us where we live.

Here in rural Cornwall our nearest town is 7 miles away. We have two buses a day, both in an afternoon to get there, none back that same day, but a choice of two buses back the next morning. It would mean an overnight in a hotel to give the bus passes any use.
