Club Together – We’re listening ......

Good afternoon everyone.Please find an update on the current issues you are experiencing on Club Together.

The Club is aware of some issues that members have been experiencing with Club Together over the last few weeks. These include, the site running slowly, which in turn causes duplicate postings. There have also been some instances of ‘page not found’ and ‘page errors’, with some missing posts and post titles.

The web development team has been investigating the causes of the problems and now have a plan in place to address the identified issues, thus stabilising Club Together so that all users have an easier and more pleasurable experience. Work on the required fixes is underway and once implemented will go through a period of rigorous testing. As a result The Club estimates a resolution by Mid May, but sooner if possible.

The Club Together team are extremely grateful for all the feedback you have given over the months since Club Together went live and have a resulting list of planned future enhancements; work will commence on these a little later in the year and after stability is achieved. Although the team would like to get started on these changes sooner, please be assured that your feedback is not being ignored and is fundamental to the development of Club Together.

So far your feedback has been focused on areas such as; a search function, an easy way to follow posts, a messaging service, the upload of photos and use of emoticons, to name just a few. Moderation, and how content on Club Together is managed, in order to make things easier, are also being reviewed by the team.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience caused by these issues; we are as disappointed as you, but the team are making all efforts to rectify them as quickly as possible and hope that you will continue to stick with us while we get things straight, especially in light of the fantastic debates and conversations that are going on.

Even in view of the challenges above, Club Together is proving a great new way to keep in touch with you, the members. Your views and comments are read with interest by staff, management, Directors and committees – we may not always contribute but we really are listening.
