We are now the  proud owners of Alfie, an inquisitive, happy, twelve week old bundle of mischief. He is a labX(57), our vet thinks he has collie and maybe whippet in him as well as Lab. He's been with us for two weeks now and apart from a bout of kennel cough(frightening) he has now got a clean bill of health and can meet other dogs from this weekend. We haven't had a dog since we had to put our 15yr old lab down many years ago, as we didn't think it fair to have a dog and leave it on its own. We feel sure that we have made the right choice and I'm even taking him to sit in the M'home every day, he will never be left on his own as we plan to take him everywhere we go, He's already been to Drayton Manor with us and the two joungest grandchildren, (He wasn't allowed in the parkFrown ) Mrs bt says that I'm spoiling him, but you cant spoil a pup with too much love can you..WinkInnocentCool

Delighted for you BT! Sounds a lovely bundle of fun. our dogs picked up kennel cough not long after we got our Lab pup, and we had never had a dog with it before, as you say, rather distressing! But glad he is over it. We take our two Labs everywhere with us, on a daily basis, and they love travelling. Go to sleep in MH, wake up to a beach, can't beat it. Wishing you lots of healthy happy times!Happy

Nice story and good for you Brian. Alfie's going to be one very lucky boy by the sound of things. Caravanning/motorhoming is made so much more rewarding with canine companions; we can't imagine leaving ours behind. Keep us up to date with Alfie's progress won't you? Happy

Thanks all for your interest.

Husky, Alfie enjoyed his bonio he had it after his brekky. Update so far, he is 95%house trained, just the odd leak every other day which he does on his puppy nappy not on the floor, he comes to his name and sits when asked verbally or with a hand gesture, he really loves training which I restrict to twice a day for ten mins a time,he also loves pleasing you and getting a reward. More updates later. Will post a picture sometime soon...Cool

Congratulations Brian. We have a two year old Labradoodle and she comes everywhere with uS. I think she gets more out of the time in the caravan than both of us!

Thanks JayEss and Kerry for your replies, I've changed my avatar so that you can get a look at him, looks like he's already bagged his seat for when we park up Wink, had a job to photo him as he doesn't stay still for very long....Cool
