I agree with all of that, K, up to the final word! Let's leave it at thugs and vandals, because whatever else they are they're certainly not fans - not in the true sense of the word.

It's just been on the news that they are saying that the English fans were to blame.

Yes, looked like the England fans were also acting like morons on the news.

Football eh? Who would admit to being part of that......

So, a Team Sky rider feels the pressure from the Tour......riders have always been put under huge pressure of all sorts. It is the world's biggest sporting event, after all. Some just don't cope very well with it.

The fans and supporters are perfectly safe though.

The atmosphere at the side of the road is fantastic, friendly and safe. It's also free!

I agree with you, Ian. I've been on Alpe D'Huez, as I'm sure you have for Le Tour, and walked through "Dutch Corner". Many people are so drunk they can hardly stand, loud music playing, people singing, dancing in the road. But intimidating? No way. Same situation with a football crowd, I'd give it a very wide berth. And I've been a season ticket holder at Man City for over 60 years. Good Heavens, I deserve a medal.

just wonder how much is down to Steady Eddie! I think quiet a lot, how hungry those left out of the second test will be for that final encounter. Hope he manages these players as well as we are being told!
