Hai all

I remember a couple of years ago someone started a thread about what outfit  people had. I found it quite interesting and I know some of us have changed since then so I will start off.

2018 Lunar Cosmos 544 towed by a 2009 Volvo V70. This is our new out fit as we recently went back to caravnning after 4 years with a motorhome.

Having owned and been very happy with an Eriba Puck L for the last 5 years we decided at the end of last year we needed just a bit more room and an on board loo. We wanted to stay small and light so we are now the proud owners of  a well kept 7 year old Lunar Ariva which we will tow with a C4 Picasso diesel. Our first trip out will be the second week of April so wish us luck.

Good luck for your first trip TonCor!  I looked at the Lunar Ariva when buying our caravan recently and really liked it.  Have fun smile

We have a 2013 Elddis Avante (Badged as a Sussex Penshurst S) dealer special. We tow it with a 2013 Freelander 2 SD HSE Auto (190 bhp) 2L Diesel.  Very happy with both car and caravan . Car and caravan cost £36k our house was £19.5k  back in 1979 surprised

2015 Bailey Barcelona and 2015 VW Touareg Escape - both from new - absolutely no faults with the VW and only a few minor 'warranty issues' with the van so we are well pleased with our choice.  Was thinking of changing the van this year but don't like what Baileys have done with the inside of the U4 and none of the other manufacturers have anything which appeals very much, so think we will stick with what we have for now. Extremely pleased with the Treg as a towcar - every bit as good if not better than previous Discos and its performance off-road is just as awesomesmile

I’m glad you are pleased with the Treg Richard. I bought one back in 2010 and it was a nail! The worst car by far I have ever bought and lost a shedload of money on it. VW didn’t want to know as it was an ‘import’ It was so bad in fact I was never sure when the next problem would arise and when it did arise(regularly) it was always an arm and a leg. I let it stand in the garage and didn’t go near it. I hated the bloody thing! VW halted the production of the Touareg until they got it sorted which seems to have taken place now. They obviously knew they had a problem with them. I then went and bought a cheap Toyota Surf 3lt which is now 23 yrs old and I still have and have refurbed to almost new. It’s a fine and worthy tow car.  My caravan is a Unicorn Valencia series 1- 2011. Bone dry and hardly a problem with it.

2000 Rapido Club pop-top, all 5m of it from nose to tail,  behind a  2004 Volvo V70 (yet another), which hardly notices it's there. Our first ever van after a life time of holidays in tents, it does what we want, has great character, and we love it dearly.

The extra light from the "upper storey" is a huge advantage, we feel, as is the low height when in towing mode.
Earlier this week we crossed a railway bridge by the Wedgewood Museum at Stoke, where there's a 2.30m height bar, and felt distinctly smug as we sailed under with 30cm to spare!

It may occasionally be mistaken for a Duplo toy, but hey...

Eddie the old Buccaneer still going strong (1998 Elan 15) rumbling along behind Doris the Disco (2003 td5, thinks she's a Ferrari after engine rebuild).
