Good Grief !!!

We spent the afternoon in Manchester visiting the christmas markets and while there we went into a small shop that sold whiskey only and the vast majority of the bottles on display were from Scotland.I had a good conversation with a young assistant who seemed to know a lot about the wee dram anyway he directed me to a bottle of Dalmore 42yr old single malt that had a price tag of £17,360,00p yes just under seventeen and a half grand.I was gobsmacked.He also said that scotch can be bought with as much as 80% alchohol in the content and that many of the brands on show were very rare.
