I flew down their ILS when I was doing some instrument flying training.

It's now been sold to a private individual and I also flew in there when they had a (re)opening day.

It's now called Leeds East airport (he's trying to attract business jets from Leeds Bradford).

so is it not RAF anymore?

I am sure it was about five years ago when I called to see if the married quarters house I was born in was still there. It was. Incidentally around the same time I called at RAF Compton Bassett well what remain of the married quarters as the camp is ling gone, the house I was brought up in my early  years was  also still there
