Good luck to your son TF.  A very worthy cause.

Son Jez is now up to 82% of his promised Sponsorship minimum donation of £2,000!  He has so far actually raised £1648.81.

So if you can please help those critically ill children through the Make a wish Charity  ...Look it up under "Make a Star Wars Wish"  Lets exceed that £2,000

Actually today 23rd April 2016. He's up to £3,800. has 2 miillion hits on the website, and has officially been recognised by Pinewood Studios.

The make a wish foundation for terminally ill children will now benifit by over £4K.

I am very proud of his efforts. The sole reason that I have broken my intention never to engage with CT again.

Well he did it!  5 Hours and 26 seconds is not bad for a 40 year old wearing a very heavy & rigid, unyeilding plastic costume. His collection for terminally ill children through the "Make a Wish foundation" currently stands at £4,600 or well over 200% of his target.

I am sorry if my attempt so get members of CT to join with him in his attempt to raise even more money for this wonderful charity upset so many members, but at least his colleagues in the RAF and other organisations including Pinewood Studio's did what was necessary.

Up to £5,200 now!  His target was £2,000. Unfortunately and possibly because it was me that posted it, Ct did not find it possible to support. However, the general public did - very generously, and now a lot more critically ill children will be able to have a dream come true!

TF, we all have our own priorities in charitable giving and, to be honest, some of your pointed remarks like the one above would make me shy away. However, I'm glad your cause will benefit.

It is one thing to highlight and encourage people to support a particular charity but it is a totally different situation to then become critical of people who don't contribute in the way you expected them to. To prevent the risk of this thread decending into unpleasentness I will close it and refer it to the Community Manager for review.
