Apparently Rouen has introduced tighter emissions standards from September 2022 and for central areas of the city and outlying districts, including the two main transit routes, you will need a Classe 3 sticker (Yellow) or below.

The good news is that fines for non-compliance will not be imposed until 1st March 2023.

Thanks Jim. Back in the day we used to use the short crossings to Calais etc and Rouen was usually en route from there. From the West Country, we now use closer crossings and haven't visited Rouen for a good while.

I have my sticker, I think it's yellow...thanks for the update.

Mine is Orange, Cat 3 inspite of it being a Euro 5 engine. Presumable size of vehicle also effects the category. As far as I can see it is only if your category is higher than this that problems can occur. You can drive into the centre of all the towns/cities I have looked at if you have category E,1.2. or 3.

Mine is yellow (Class 2) and, like PD, is a Euro 5 engine.

My German one, just to confuse everything, is green (Class 4)

Mine are the same, but in the 7 years I have had them, I don't think I have ever entered a controlled zone.

Thanks for the update.
Will be Towing along through Rouen in January 2023 hopefully but whilst a 2013 MB W166 ML 250 Bluetec AdBlue dirty Diesel we are rated as Euro 6 & so Class 2 yellow. NB Minimal / nil emissions on MOT as run 100% on V Power.

I understood that the French initially imposed the CriTair restrictions during peak pollution issues only ?

The increasing numbers of ULEZ Cities marches ever onwards.
