Hi
Although this is a French web site but it has an excellent Spanish searchable map section which is updated monthly, I use it quite a lot when touring new places/cities, it also has Tom Tom poi to download.

Conil is a lovely little Spanish town not too far from Cadiz which is a beautiful city but the campsite Roche is out of town and you might need transport if staying any length of time.

We stopped at Olimpia north of Salamanca in January this year for two nights and spent a day in Salamanca a lovely City. Olimpia is just off the motorway and there is a petrol station across the road so good for one night stopover. We then stopped at Cacares Camping and called into the City there as well. You get you own separate bathroom with shower. toilet etc. Again close to the motorway.

Thanks Deleted User I thought snow would be likely in Northern spain in Jan looking at the temperatures but don't have winter tyres on our MH and was wondering about chains particularly if they close the motorways and you have to use smaller roads. Regio sounds a good site/stop in Salamanca if there is a bus into town.

Re: snow...the Madrid forecast for the next two weeks is a consistent sunny 9-13 degrees, with no hint of snow...
we don't have winter tyres and have never seen snow on the roads, especially the Pamplona Zaragosa road (A-68) even though parts of it are at 900+ metres.
next week we are taking the very long way to Andalusia (and beyond) via Pamplona, Zaragosa (again, weather clear but nicely chilly) and Valencia (to the coast) and then some considerable pootling down the coast and in and around Granada, Gibralter, Cadiz (may look at Camping Roche) and Seville (amongst others....)
then on into Portugal and a bit of Algarve exploring and a stay at Lagos and visits to Lisbon, Porto (and more)....and hopefully see Salamanca and Madrid as we loop back inland...
depending on timetable (ugh) we may hit the Spanish east coast again and/or a gentle (warmer) wiggle through France...
have a great trip...
