Replacement tyres

I have had GT 6000 185R14 104/102  kargomax C tyres fitted these seemed similar to the original bailey fitted tyres .

The stability of the outfit since is  frightening I  had the worst snake ever in calm dry conditions at 55 mph being over taken by a coach. Since this was the first time out after the change loading and tyre pressures were carefully checked (65 psi) tow ball and stabiliser pads cleaned. In 30+ years of caravanning I have never been so scared.

the footprint of the tyres seems greater than before perhaps softer side walls ,  ply rating is the same as previous tyres (8 ply)

any Recommendations for another set of  tyres would be appreciated

Can anyone tell me the number of side wall plies on tyres they have fitted to a bailey Pegasus 2 Genoa .

The overall number of plies is  split between tread and  side wall I suspect my problem is caused by 2 ply side  walls unfortunately I do not know what the configuration of the original tyres was

                GT 6000 185R14 104/102 kargomax C

It has 8 plies in the wall and is designed for heavy trailer and caravan use, I did read one review on them which said they had some sway when white vans went past, yell if I remember correctly it scored 3.5 out of 5 alas I can't find the link anymore

Do you have this tyre ? if so how old is it? While it appears to be the same tyre

My tyres only have 2 side wall plies and 7 overall ?
