Instructions - WHAT instructions.

In the last year I have purchased a full awning from Isabella and a porch awning from Bradcot.

Given the cost of these pieces of kit, the assembly instructions are APPALLING in both cases.

Why do we have to accept such a cheapskate approach when you spend so much money?

Worst of all was Bradcot.

I emailed Bradcot a few days ago and got the following reply:

"The only instruction I can send you in relation to the frame is the Frame Diagram, which should have been included within the frame box.  If this is still not enough, I can only suggest that you give the office a call on 01274 306811 and ask for Paul.  I use one of these myself and have done for years.  After the 1st/2nd time of use, you'll realise just how easy it actually is."

Thanks Bradcot, that and the cheapo, scruffy, badly drawn diagram is REALLY helpful. It's so small you need a magnifying glass to see the important bits.

Sure I can call Paul when I am on a site in France trying to put it up on Sunday!!!!

Members beware, you HAVE to have experience before assembling one of these products otherwise you risk damaging your van with an errant pole and there are no instructions on how to attach it to the van, just some mysterious clips.

These people don't live in the real world.
