Tyre Pressures on Autotrail Tracker - Fiat Ducato?

A quick look on line has come up with 55psi on  the rear with michelins

but then others say 80psi 0n rear

If it is 80 PSI on the rear the rim will be fitted with a high pressure valve which is fitted with a visable nut on the valve stem, if not its not designed for 80PSI.

Well I went with 55 because that is what I thought I remembered from the handbook and when I got home that is indeed what it says.

The strange thing is that it is all much more comfortable and less rattly now... which kind of indicates the old ones were pumped up rather harder... which rather indicates I should have checked them before and not just relied on them being right when I picked it up from the dealer we bought it from!

Fiat always pump up their tyres to 79psi before leaving the factory.   This pressure is indicated on the inside post of the nearside door.

However, I visited my local weighbridge fully loaded before a long trip and emailed those details to Michelin who replied swiftly with 65 front, 75 rear.

But, like BB says, on UK roads we get the noise from vibration and on a good French Autoroute, which we pay a lot for, the ride is smooth and quiet.    I have noticed though on the M5 they are now using better quality tarmac, similar to that on Autoroutes and laying it with less noticeable seems and joints and that is making a big difference, until they dig it up to lay some wi-fi fibre!
