Aires can be wonderful!

With so many motorhomers “uncertain” about using “Aire de camping-Car” perhaps it is time to show them what they are missing.  If like us you use non-motorway aires please help to spread the word here about the wonderful places they have been missing.

One of the reasons we like aires so much is because we can get closer to the real France staying in delightful towns and villages. One we really like is at Segre (Dept 49), it is 3 minutes walk from the centre of town yet is quiet and secluded.  From it there are great walks along the river. One word of warning though if your van is much over 7m in length, the sharp turn at the bottom of the steep approach hill could be a problem.  I will try to put a couple of photos below.  However, if this does not work I will also put a link to them.

View from the van on the aire at Segre.

Have a look here to view thousands of aires all over Europe.

Has anyone else got an aire to share?
