To replace Reich caravan filter Problem, tap felt loose no water.

Firstly, consider is it’s worth the effort of replacing the filter.

Firstly, remove the cap logo on the tap handle, underneath there is a torx screw. Remove the handle by pulling upwards. Next there are 2 torxs screws 1 on top behind the handle and 1 on the bottom of the chrome section. With these removed the chrome section can be lifted up .

Underneath you will find  a ring with 3 torx screws . Beware that these screws are 15mm long and the torx head is very small When you remove these screws the ring will lift of and reveal the filter.

After fitting the new filter refit in reverse.

You will need ridiculously small torx screwdrivers those normally used for repairing mobile phones.

In my case as the tap had failed as we were setting of for a couple of nights in the caravan, so my mobile service engineer met me on route and changed the complete tap. The tap is held on by a backnut under the counter and to disconnect the water hose, the hoses are 90cm long they are connected by 2 speed fit sockets behind the oven. Accessed by removing the back panel under the oven. The taps are not cheap being around £100.  Exploring the original tap to find out how it works ,I would consider replacing the complete tap .The screw on the top to remove the chrome tap I could not remove it and I had to drill it out same for the ring with the 3 screws as I said these are 15mm long and the screw heads are so small.

I would have attached photos but site would not allow

This is odd? I have replaced the cartridge in the shower and it works perfectly, except, it is 180 degrees out. Now, to turn it on the handle facing up (instead of down) is pulled down instead of up. There seemed to be no way of inserting the cartridge in any way other that the same as the old one that I took out. Am I missing something simple?
