Hi fellow members, I have bought a Lock n Level to help when fitting the Alko wheel locks, but it say's better to use a mat or something below it when using on gravel which make sense so as not to puncture it. What are you members using? thanks.

Hi Wullie. We had a lock n level when we had our caravan and we used this…https://vanliningcarpet.co.uk/shop/rubber-flooring-checker-5mm/

if I remember correctly I ordered 2m x 1m @ 5mm, cut it to size and it worked perfectly. It’s quite heavy when rolled up though (circa 10kg) so worth bearing this in mind. That said, I’ve just looked at the price and it has increased quite a bit since we bought it. Rubber is another raw material that’s sky rocketing in price.

We were advised by lock n level when we purchased ours to use a piece of artificial grass under it.

I use a cheap doormat purchased for the specific purpose of going below the Lock n Level bag when I remember.

But often I use nothing on hardstanding and have experienced no problems.

The bag is so robust it'd take something extraordinary to puncture it.

It's a great piece of kit.
