Hi is anyone’s Dometic fridge beeping all the time during this really hot weather, it beeps 33 times then stops for 10 mins or so and beeps 33 times again and so on?

We had one that did that and shading it was the only answer along with hanging a wet towel over the front. Keeping it cool is what's needed. Great, eh?

is this a time when fans dragging air across the condenser at the back of the fridge would help? 🤷‍♂️

Ours beeps too from time to time. We’ve found giving the door a ‘shove’ after closing overcomes it. The thing I’ve noticed is that if the caravan is slightly tilted towards the off side, the problem doesn’t arise.

We had that, too, but it was the warning for the door not being tightly closed as opposed to the overheating warning.

TBH, I didn’t know there was a overheating warning, let alone the difference between that and the door open warning. I’m guessing therefore that the situation clarinetman describes above has to be the overheating warning?

It can be caused by moisture entering the printed circuit on the latch assembly.a simple fix is to disconnect the wiring plug from the latch but you will not have a light or warning when the door is open!

Looking on line the problem is as you have said condensation on the circuit board would try to get to the board but wife says if I touch it she will leave, here goes then!!!

no better not it does stope as the day cools down. Thanks for the reply’s as usual very useful.

I assume so as he refers to the hot weather.

In our case, the fridge was situated opposite the sliding door of our PVC and the sun was pouring in through the open door onto the fridge. We unwound the canopy which then sheltered the doorway from the direct sun and added the wet towel to the fridge door.

The door not shut warning was a frequent occurrence and just needed a shove as you described. The beeping would not then restart until the next time someone forgot to close it firmly.

Try disengaging the travel lock and just rely on the magnetic door seals when the van is sited and stationary.  Don't forget to set the lock prior to moving.
