Posted on 18/02/2022 21:12 by DextaHi. I have to repair a damaged front window, and would like to know if anyone has knowledge of a satisfactory, waterproof welding substance suitable for this job. I believe these windows are made of Acrylic which has to be chemically welded not glued.

Afternoon
Another thumbs up for bondrite. Be careful as the chemicals usd are very strong. Take van windows out and preferably lay them flat. The bond goes off quickly and you don't get a second go if you do it wrong. If you can, clamp around the edges, then leave it a couple of hours. Saying that, I've done 4 of my caravan windows and the result is good. I had a couple of areas which oozed out slightly because I put a too thick a bead on but when hard I cut it off with a stanley blade.
Chat to Bondrite on the phone, they're friendly and give sound advice.
