Do'es anyone know how much their fixed bed mattress weighs ? Thinking of replacing our sprung mattress for a memory foam one any one done similar?

They will all differ due to size and material. Some vans have foam, but ours like yours is sprung. I would avoid a memory foam as they can get hot. 

Have you considered the likes of an Ikea mattress which you could cut to size and refit inside its cover. We did this with one of there toppers.

We have a non memory foam Morgedal in the spare bedroom which is classed as firm. Guests say it is comfortable but I find it a little firm compared to our Simba mattress. I'd advise a trip to IKEA and lie on a selection to find out what suits you.

Our foam topper was bought many years ago and is no longer sold.
