Not moving with the times

This club could be fantastic, if only it was to listen to its members, some reasons below;

1. Very slow website, cannot find a website as slow as this one, even ones you do not have to pay for!

2. Inability to search for fully serviced pitches (perhaps because they do not have many)

3. Being superseded by free forums such as Adults only caravan sites on Facebook

4. Wasting money, why does the club not ask all members if they need a magazine, I would have been happy to have an electronic version, also helping the environment

5. With all my posts asking for reasons for these issues not being addressed and approaching the site directly no action has been taken, or even reasons why they cannot

I have enjoyed the discussions on the site and interestingly my concerns have been covered several times by others. Note the times I go on the website has to be on off peak times due to the slow website.

It is sad that I will not be renewing my membership, as I do not intend to pay for membership where there is no official feedback from the club when issues are raised.

Hopefully I will rejoin when basic issues are sorted out.

Kind Regards

Derek

Iā€™m more of a Twiglets man, but you need to ditch that caravan thingy and do some proper touring, šŸ˜‰

done enough of the touring thing in my lifetime, spent half my life hopping in and out of aeroplanes, or sailing oceans, or just driving a tourist bus around Scotland (was one of my bucket list to do things) when i retired. Now i just go away for a change of scenery do a bit of sight seeing and chill, that is why i always go for a svcd pitch, back to base 5ish - 6ish cocktail hour sort out some grub, walk the dog, in bed by 2100 with good book or magazine.

for Woodovis because i booked within 6 weeks of arrival i had to pay the full whack Ouch!!! but they do provide insurance if required to get your money back if no show, like to kee3p it simple, but weather report not all bad so looking forward to it.laughing

Hmmmm, cocktail hour, now I’m getting interested. This 21:00 thing explains why there’s nobody on here in the evenings and plenty of posts before I emerge from my slumbers at the other 9 o’clock in the day.

As a complete aside, one of the benefits of site restrictions and toilet closures etc, is that I no longer have to plan my day around that quaint tradition on CMC sites - the toilet cleaning schedule.

Not much chance of seeing each areasurprised

That reminds me of a story a friend of mine told me about a couple of American tourists he overheard on a cruise in the Med a couple of years back. When the boat called in at Venice one said to the other "are you going to go on the excursion?" to which the reply was "no, I don't think there's much to see here,  I'll just stay in the bar!" surprised

Probably totally different. As most are aware I stay 4 nights and move on. Very rare that I need to travel more than 15 miles for a day out. May not see everything but there is next time (maybe not as I get older)
