Hi All Members

Due to this events being missed from the Club magazine for the last couple of months, i am putting the information on here for you all to see.

There are four really good events going up in June which our regional Centre's have organzied for your enjoyment.

So here are the details, go on booked to them and have a great time. You know you will be made very welcome.

North London Centre

THE ROYAL BATH & WEST SHOW

 

29TH MAY – 2nd JUNE 2013

Hosted by - North London Centre

 

• A chance to see the country's finest livestock including cattle, pigs, goats, sheep and alpacas. Visit one of the largest dog shows in the county and the ‘Fur and Feather' zone, where you can see small animals and birds such as rabbits and cavies, tame birds and poultry.

• Fashion will be entering the ring for at the Royal Bath & West Show, you are invited to join us dressed in your finest for Ladies Day on the Friday.

• Food lovers can spend hours exploring the vast food halls with Baking offers scrumptious demonstrations, expert talks and book signings from some of the nation’s top bakers.

• At the Imagineering Fair children will be able to explore the creative possibilities of science, engineering and technology.

• Enjoy everything equine from showing and show jumping to the Pony Club mounted games.

• In the Countryside Arena you can thrill to falconry displays, admire the discipline of gun dogs and cheer on your favourite in the terrier racing. Alongside the arena is the Canoe Village where you can experience canoes, kayaks and much, much more.

• Adrenaline junkies will also have the chance to drive 4x4 off road vehicles in the most extreme off road experience at the Show to date.

 

• In Farming for the Family children can watch milking demonstrations, see piglets, lambs and calves and experience the fun of feeding a chicken and collecting an egg to cook and eat in the farmhouse kitchen.

• Visit the country's biggest cheese show, the National Cheese Awards and sample a staggering array of some of the UK's finest cheeses and dairy produce.

• Experience a celebration of cider, featuring the biggest cider competition in the country and the chance to take part in cider tasting with experts.

• Gasp at the beauty of the Floral Marquee, watch floral art demonstrations and learn from the interesting talks.

• Visit the Art Pavilion with over 400 entries all of which are for sale.

• Experience the working countryside and see Heavy Horses pulling logs in Woodlands and Wildlife or learn about the secret life of bees in the Bees & Honey Tent.

 

Our temporary site set nearby to the showground has electric hook ups, fresh water and chemical waste disposal points.

West Woodhay House Garden Show

Nr Newbury, Berkshire

14 - 16 June 2013

 

Berkshire Centre

 

Come along to the largest charity garden show in the Thames Valley.  Enjoy the chance to view the fabulous private gardens of West Woodhay House which are only open to the public for one weekend every two years.  The extensive gardens include three lakes and an arboretum, a rose garden incorporating statues and a walled kitchen garden with fruit and vegetables, shrubs and flowers and dovecotes.

 

There will also be a Plant Finder Fair, Show Gardens, a Gardeners Question Time marquee, gardening advice from a team of experts, plant and craft trade stands and much more over the two days.  Have a wonderful time and raise money for local charities.

 

The temporary site is situated in glorious parkland close to the main entrance to the show.  Discounted tickets will be available.  Dogs on leads are permitted.

British MG Live  - Silverstone

 

14th  - 16th  June 2013

 

Silverstone Race Track  

 

Host Centre MIDDLESEX

 

The international event for all MG motorcar enthusiasts.  This is the world’s biggest event for MG owners, organised by the MG Car Club.  Held at this iconic grand prix circuit, no other UK motoring event offers so much.

Activities held over the weekend include a ‘Trade City’ for buyers, sellers and browsers interested in MGs.  3 days of racing.  Rally rides and Autojumble – and don’t miss the Concours/Pride of ownership event and the California Cup Autotest.

 

There’s so much going on and numbers will be limited for caravan parking so book to reserve a place NOW.

Bloxham Steam Fayre

 

28th - 30th June 2013

Nr Banbury

 

Host Centre MIDDLESEX                            

For a fun-filled and action-packed weekend, come to The Banbury Show!

 There’s something here for everyone.

 One of the biggest events showing vintage vehicles, old time fairground and heavy horses.  Attractions  include:  Motorcycle Display Teams, Helicopter Rides, Car Crushing, Arts and Craft Fair, Falconry and evening entertainment.

Price includes weekend caravanning and entry to show.

Temporary Caravan parking  field is adjacent to the show.
