Despite being conveniently located near major motorways (M1, M6 and M42) and the National Exhibition Centre and Birmingham, Chapel Lane Club Campsite is a rural gem that will take you by surprise. Set in the shadow of a charming old chapel and with a pleasant open-field horizon, this West Midlands campsite is also marvellous for those with an interest in our industrial heritage - there are fascinating museums close by to take you back in time.
There is so much to do around the site from visiting The Transport Museum (open weekends and most Bank Holidays) which is adjacent to the campsite to getting a bite to eat or visiting Cadbury World. A mere ten minute walk will take you to Becketts Farm Shop which includes a restaurant serving hearty meals. Chapel Lane Club Campsite is also only 13 miles away from the NEC in Birmingham, hosting some of the UK's best-loved events such as the Caravan and Motorhome Show.
Facilities include a small dog walk on site (longer dog walks nearby) and a bus stop within 50 metres.
Please note: Birmingham's Clean Air Zone comes into effect from June 2021. Whilst Chapel Lane is not within this zone, we advise members to review Birmingham's Clean Air Zone and check at Gov. UK Clean Air Zone if charges may apply for your vehicle to drive into the city or pass through the zone on your journey to site.

We stayed at this site in June as a two night stopover as we travelled up country. I had noted on reviews mention of travellers using it but hoped this wouldn't be a problem. We did see upon arrival that there were indeed a group on site. We had no issues during the day but on our first night there was a brief period when loud music was being played-thankfully this did not last too long. However on our second night from about 1am to gone 3am there was serious disturbance with vehicle movements and extremely loud music. Sleep was impossible and I can only liken it to be in the middle of 'rave'. I assumed, incorrectly, that the wardens would at least make some attempt to deal with the problem-they did not. In the morning I along with others spoke to one of the wardens. He told me that they would not turn out at night to deal with such issues as they finished at eight-he did however confirm the source of the disturbance was the travellers. He indicated that there were ongoing issues at the site with them so as you can imagine we will not be using this site again. In my 16years as a member of the club I have never experienced such a negative issue as this. I have of course emailed the club.
