The newly opened Fiveways CL is situated in the Chilterns in open countryside off the Lower Icknield Way between the Buckinghamshire village of Bledlow and hamlet of Longwick. The nearest town is the historic market town of Princes Risborough with a history dating back to Saxon Times and which lies at the centre of an extensive network of waymarked Public Footpaths with the Ridgeway National Trail skirting the town. Fiveways has all the benefits of being close to Princes Risborough including main line railway connection to London and other major destinations, without being impacted by them. For more local journeys there is the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway which is a preserved standard gauge heritage railway running along the foot of the Chiltern escarpment; a must for many railway enthusiasts.

The area offers many places for the cyclists to explore along quieter lanes and bridleways. The Chiltern Cycleway offers 173 miles of cycleway through beautiful countryside signposted all the way for ease of navigation..

Fiveways CL offers lawned pitching in a private garden accessed through the resident owner’s walled property, high security gate providing security and seclusion in equal measures. As well as all pitches having electric hook-ups delivering 16 amps, visitors will have the use of an exclusive modern well-appointed Toilet and Shower. 

The site provides an ideal base from which to explore the area and all that is on offer within it. This includes:

• Royal Windsor with Castle, Great Park and Legoland.
• Regal Oxford with world renowned University in a city steeped in history and served by a variety of tourist attractions from River Cruises to Harry Potter Walking Tour and everything in between.
• Romantic riverside towns of Henly-on-Thames and Marlow.
• London with Museums, Theatres, Exhibitions or simple sight-seeing.

The list is endless and offers a variety of attractions to suit all tastes with those further afield easily accessible by public transport into the capital. 

The Chilterns themselves are a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty comprising quintessential English countryside, an impressive selection of pubs and restaurants across open country and historic market towns. The area is a wildlife haven epitomised by the opportunity to spot the occasional Red Kite following a successful re-introduction scheme back in the 1980s. Wildlife trusts operated throughout the Chilterns and it is well worth looking at the respective websites to see what is on offer.
