Why stay here ...

Ideal for those looking to explore the Black Forest, Belchenblick is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the great outdoors. This small family run site has recently renovated the large shower and toilet facilities however the other amenities look a little dated but are clean and maintained.

On-site amenities are limited to preserve the peace and quiet, but guests can make the most of the adjacent municipal sports complex, with a free access to a huge outdoor swimming pool and tennis court.

Belchenblick is well situated for excursions around the Black Forest, with the Feldberg-Titisee-Höllental circuit being particularly popular. At reception get your free KONUS card and enjoy free local bus and train rides to see the amazing views in Bavaria. There is an electric train line that runs by the site (may be heard from the pitches)  and the train station is  800 meters away , from here you can travel to Freiburg Titisee and Basle.

Overnight Stop

We stopped here for one night on our way to Switzerland. Site was busy in our area having been given a pitch close to the entrance. Great dog walk along the river. Ordered bread for in the morning which was freshly baked. Like most sites at this time of year it was looking a... Show more

Lovely site

Very welcoming onto site. We were given larger pitch due to size of caravan. Facilities very clean and tidy. Nice hot showers. Lovely walk into town of Staufen along river. Free bus/train service. Would definitely return

Pleasant site

Very nice location with easy walk into the nice small town of Staufen some pitches close to railway line but you seem to get used to it. Very nice welcome upon arrival. Municipal swimming pool adjacent which is free to use when staying on site. Also Kronos Card offers free... Show more

It grows on you

We can’t quite work this site out, on first arriving we thought where have we come! Then after 3 or so days we weren’t in a hurry to leave. The best approach is to chill out and ask, ask about any other pitches if you’re not happy, and what’s available,... Show more

Updated facilities

Having read the previous reviews regarding the state of the facilities, we were wary about booking this site, but I can report that the showers and toilets have been updated, and are lovely. Each shower cubicle has its own toilet and sink and a good sized shower cubicle, all of... Show more

Location excellent, campsite not so

Please do not think this is a negative review, it isn't, but the campsite is in dire need of refurbishment. Firstly it is all about the location, and the family owners know it. They can fill the campsite nearly all year around. Staufen the small town, 1k walk away is... Show more

Nice site in good location

Had a look around site when waiting to check in (reception closed 12.30-15.00) and thought pitches looked a bit small. However, we were assigned to a larger pitch at the reception end that was very spacious. The receptionist was very friendly and efficient, told us about site, gave us free... Show more

great location

Have been here before - on this occasion pitch was smaller and not in as good condition as previously. Otherwise no complaints - love Staufen and great walks into the Munstertal valley. Free train travel in the area also a great bonus. Also free access to the large... Show more

Peaceful site, Free travel an extra bonus.

A nice peaceful site just a ten minute walk along the river to Staufen or the train station. We made use of the free transport by going to Freilburg and Basel. Just across the road is the outdoor swimming pool, it's a shame that the bar and restaurant was not... Show more
