Salisbury Hillside Club Campsite is set amidst rolling countryside, much of which is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The perfect place for a relaxing holiday, this rural, secluded campsite is just 9 miles from Salisbury in one direction and Andover in the other. This holiday getaway location is spread across several levels, giving you the choice of pitches set in open woodland glades, with local wildlife on your doorstep. The campsite offers excellent outdoor activities nearby - a short drive away you can leisurely take in scenery walking the Test Way and Clarendon Way or bike the Downs along charming countryside cycle ways.

Interesting places to visit during your trip to Wiltshire include the Army Flying Museum or one of the several lovely National Trust properties in the near vicinity, including Mottisfont House and Broadlands at Romsey. The area of Wiltshire itself is steeped in rich history and includes the World Heritage Site at Stonehenge. Other day trips that could be enjoyed from the site include the New Forest National Park with its wild ponies, the bustling south coast resort of Bournemouth, castles, plus a variety of woodlands and beaches. The campsite is also a favourite stopover for a night or two whilst en-route to the Isle of Wight, the West Country or even France and Europe.

Tranquil little Gem…

Fantastic campsite

First visit to site, had been at another nearby site (not a club site) and wished we had found Hillside first! Very welcoming wardens. Spotless shower block as was the whole site. Only had one night but will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you to both wardens for a... Show more

Lovely time

What a welcome, we stayed at hillside from April 21st-25th 2025 on pitch 30. Marion and Elaine are 2 of the nicest wardens we have met. They were so friendly and helpful. The site is pretty, well maintained and quiet. Great area to explore. Great dog walk through an on site... Show more

Such a beautiful site

Our first time of staying on this site and it won't be our last. Beautiful, clean facilities and the relief wardens were very helpful in accomadating my mobility needs. Lovely big pitches, with lovely views and trees. Spotless toilet block. Peaceful and quiet. A very enjoyable stay.

Peaceful

Previously stayed 9 months ago but our first visit since Marian and Elaine took over. They are two lovely people and have worked so hard to improve the site. Many of the pitches have been relaid and a lot of the trees and hedgerows have been tidied up. The dog... Show more

Ideal site and very helpful Wardens

This site was selected because we have stayed there previously. It did not disappoint. It is off the beaten track and would probably not appeal to families with children, but for anyone else wanting a quiet break, it is perfect. The wardens are very friendly. We were having problems with our Aquaroll... Show more
