Perfectly situated just outside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, Alderstead Heath is the ideal base for visiting both London (just 35 minutes away on the train) and the surrounding North Downs countryside. Spend a few days enjoying the daytime and evening entertainment of the big city and a few more hiking or biking the local trails, what’s more at the end of the day you can return to rest at this surprisingly rural and peaceful countryside campsite.

The site is surrounded by rolling wooded countryside and situated near the Pilgrims Way, so there are many lovely walking trails - in particular across the North Downs - to explore at your leisure. You can pick up details about the Downlands Circular Walk from the site entrance. The Fox pub can also be reached by foot, approximately 40 minutes away. Golfing enthusiasts will be delighted as there are several golf courses in the immediate area. The campsite is also an ideal location for exploring much of Sussex, Kent and Surrey and the surrounding coastal areas. Shops and local amenities can be found in nearby Caterham. For further details on this please ask the site manager on arrival or during your stay.

Heaven for NT members

Lovely quiet site close to M25 but that road is a distant hum. Great welcome from Wardens who are friendly and keep the site spot on! We came here with the main object of visiting Chartwell but also fitted in Ightham Mote, Polesden Lacey and Standen House. That's our annual... Show more

Show more
